Would Manga Survive Without Eroticism?

Who would have thought that Japanese with their lustful minds despite their gentle but cold appearance, would plan to censor manga comics due to their high amount of sexual content? Well, that is exactly what the Tokyo assembly wants to do: to restrict comics and animated images that contain sexually provocative depictions of “nonexistent minors” – an ambiguous concept that is concerning main characters that people could reasonably assume to be minors, based on their appearances.

An institution in Japan
Manga in Japan is truly a phenomenon. It constituted an annual 406 billion yen (approximately $3.6 billion USD) for the publication-industry by 2007. As you scan imagine, people of all ages and all kind of social class read mangas, not only young people. Japan also has manga cafés, or manga kissa, where people drink coffee and read manga, and sometimes stay overnight.

So, for now, your perverted minds still can enjoy seeing Akane’s knickers, the girl in Dash!! Kappei, Ranma’s boobs or those tiny school-uniforms that appear in Sailor Moon. If I were you, I would book the ideal accommodation on Apartments in Lisbon and, after visiting city’s treasures, I would devour the last manga issues before it’s too late and you are not able to get horny with these stories.
